FRAN LEITNER

An accomplished storyteller and a magician of words

Whose work explores the intricate balance between identity, relationships, and personal transformation. With a gift for capturing emotional authenticity and quiet moments of revelation, Leitner’s fiction invites readers to reflect on the choices that define who we are.

Drawing inspiration from her fascination with literature’s power to shape lives, she writes stories that are at once intimate and universal, connecting readers through shared experiences of hope, love, and discovery.

In A Twice Lived Summer, Leitner brings these themes to life through the eyes of Martin Redmond, a young man whose journey echoes the internal struggles many face when stepping into adulthood. Her writing is celebrated for its depth, sensitivity, and ability to illuminate the unseen threads that link people, generations, and beliefs.

When not writing, Fran enjoys exploring the beautiful walking trails of Liechtenstein and spending time hiking with her two beloved Jack Russell terriers. Born and raised in New Zealand, with dual Swiss nationality, she has lived and worked across the Middle East and Europe in the field of education.
